FEB 14, 1800 HRS . (UPDATE: Affects the final three units only)
This assignment of places may be superceeded by later versions. Parade officials have final say on where you stage.
Your staging area corresponds to numbers on the parking places. See the map below. Some parking places are un-numbered, so we've designated them by referencing the parking spot ACROSS the street from it. So the spot Across from spot # 50 is A50. One spot is across from spots 46 and 47, so we called that A46.5.
Floats and large vehicles should arrive and stage between 4 and 5 PM on Saturday. Cars should plan to get there between 5 and 6 PM. If you have a long unit like a float, bus or fire truck, you should face generally WEST, like last year. If you have a normal sized vehicle, please BACK IN to your parking spot to facilitate later launch.
Pedestrians and riders should plan to get there between 5:30 and 6:30 PM.
Judging will be 6 PM to 6:30 PM. Awards at Sweetland will be made at 6:45 PM. We step off at 7 PM.
Non-parade vehicles are generally NOT permitted into the parking lot. We just don't have the space. If a non-parade vehicle is allowed inside, please get it back out ASAP.
PARK IN YOUR ASSIGNED PLACE.
Some units share a spot. Remember, you don't have to keep standing there, just be there at 7 PM. This is where you start the parade. Being in order maximizes the chances of your information being announced and/or broadcast. Floats might serve you as landmarks within the parade.
WHEN WE LAUNCH, the Launch Director will instruct the northernmost line (104-80) to proceed to the up-ramp first. When that line is in place, he will then launch the second line, spots 79 to 60, to follow. He will instruct each line to launch in sequence until all six lines have "stepped off" in order. Please keep to your position. We appreciate your enthuasium, and we also appreciate your patience.
