Doubloons are perhaps the most fun and coveted common throw. The noise of a handful of these hitting the street thrills the crowds into action. These are aluminium and 39 mm in diameter with the Krewe's Logo and year of founding on one side and this year's theme on the obverse side. These must be ordered by 1 week prior to the parade or earlier. These may be picked up at the Loading Party, the night before the parade or at the Krewe of Mask Desk at the Parade assembly area on the day of the parade, or by special arrangement with a Krewe official (John Cashen, Ken Gordon, Peter Anderson, Cherie Anderson).
