KREWE OF MASK MARDI GRAS PARADE 2020 ROLLS ON FEBRUARY 15TH AT 7:00 PM IN DOWN TOWN LAGRANGE!
MARDI GRAS PARADE 2020 PARTICIPANT INFORMATION
Gates open at 3 PM for FLOATS only. All others assemble at 5 PM in Sweetland's Parking lot. The ROADWAY to and from the parking lot will be kept OPEN for all. No lining up on the ramp!
You will bring your phone that shows the map and parking place number where your unit lines up. Parade Marshalls may need to change this, and what they say may superceed these printed instructions. If you have a car or golf cart, BACK INTO YOUR SPOT. If you have a FLOAT or FIRE TRUCK, park your unit POINTED WEST.
Costumes, cowbells with rakes, and other re-usable objects for volunteers will be signed out and signed back in at the Green Cart - Northeast corner.
Scott Seelbinder is Master of the Launch and will coordinate where Jeeps, Antique Automobiles, Floats and Marching Units will assemble. Last minute purchases of Beads, Doubloons and Cups may be obtained from the Krewe of Mask Green Trailer. Credit Cards can be accepted.
Each unit will be judged prior to the parade by roving Judges between 5:45 and 6:15 PM. Most awards will be presented in the Sweetland Parking Lot. "BEST COSTUME IN THE CROWD" will be presented from the Showmobile across from City Hall. Announcements of the Winners and awarding trophies will be done before the parade starts.
Try and keep the parade together! Only the Royal Float has a scheduled stop at the reviewing stand to toast the Mayor and the City.
For safety reasons, the Cleanup crew volunteers will be the second to last unit. They go before the final Fire Truck or Police Car.
The parade steps off at 7 PM.
